Has anyone gone from an AMG GTR to an R8 Plus?

Has anybody moved from an AMG GTR to an R8 Plus (or vice versa of course) and if so, what was the reason? I've had a fairly extensive drive in the R8 and loved it, looks great, sounds great, goes well etc. This is the 'sensible' choice in my opinion, but there's something about the Merc I just love.
