Audi A1 back lights.

Recently bought a 2012 A1 for the daughter. Been having intermittent bulb warnings for mainly rear (red) light.
Finally got round to having a look at it to discover what many people on here probably know already.
The bulb holder set up in the rear lights falls well below what I would expect of Audi. It obviously gets damp and causes corrosion. If I am able to buy two new bulb holders, will something like ACF50 sprayed on them, before installation, stop this happening?
