2015 Audi A4 2.0 TDI Quattro - New Waterpump and Cambelt
Discussion
Hi,
Took my 2015 A4 for a service last week and they have recommended a cambelt and waterpump change. Its only got 35k on the clock and wanted to see if this is necessary? They also want £1250 to do the job, is this normal or how/where could I get it cheaper?
Any advice much appreciated!

Not sure on the interval for replacing but that sounds like an extortionate amount of money for the work. Assume this is a main dealer? A decent independent / Audi specialist would do it for a lot less than that.Took my 2015 A4 for a service last week and they have recommended a cambelt and waterpump change. £143 to change the brake fluid!!
Well OTT, I had my S4 MOT'd at the local Audi dealer last year (because I had the MOT 'warranty' from before when car was under warranty).Whilst there they asked me if I wanted the brake fluid changing as it was due. They charged me £65 which I didn't think was too bad and even if more than an independent would charge, was worth it to avoid another trip/wait etc.
