Hi all
I bought an Audi A7 TDI last year, 2015 the 272hp version .. great car..

I use it for Work so have an Insurance for 26k a year got one through Tesco with Breakdown and legal cover , I had nil no claims coming from a company car.. it was £950 which I thought was steep , but with the miles, Business etc .. suck it up .. it was better than anywhere else..

So after a year of no claim's and no issues at all, my renewal has just come through.. expecting some drop due to no incidents ..
£1,340.39 !! WTAF is that all about !! is it a Virus tax .. I'm stunned ..

anyone else seeing this type of hike.. anyone got any suggestions of better companies ?

Cheers

Aren't renewals always higher before you haggle them down?

Yeah usually renewals more expensive, just go on the comparison sites and should be fine.

Renewals are always more expensive, they rely on lazy people not bothering to shop around and just sucking it up.

My bike insurance just come through, £66 last year, £87 this year, same company on compare the market, £63.

It's normal, they are relying on people being complacent and lazy.

Not always.... I have used Greenlight for about 5 years now and my renewal was hovering around the same amount ~500 for 3/4 years. One phone (not a haggle... just a "what's the best you can do") call last year, knocked it down to 400 and with no call needed this year my renewal was reduced to 350. That is how to keep someones business...... I cannot fault them.

My renewal ealier this month was 2p more than last year's premium. I have no idea how that was calculated.

if they'd dropped even £10 less than last year.. would of renewed without thinking.. this is a joke ..
the call centre is effectively offline .. so I have cancelled the renewal obviously !! I'm just incensed that going on line to their own company
I made £150 saving on last year.. it feels like fraud almost .. like I said I'm switching to above the new quote out of principal and moving away...
Great business model.. maybe I should set up my own company.... being reasonable!

I hope they ring me up
