Hi guys,
I am trying to diagnose a problem on my Audi A6 C6 2.0Tdi in 140ps guise. 56 plate.
Sometimes the car will not want to start and will just crank and will bring up a brake warning light on dash amoungst other warnings. It is also blowing bulbs for fun. I thought it sounded like a bad earth but i could only find two under the bonnet (where you would jump the car and one that goes to the bracket for the coolant reservoir if i remember correctly) also the battery is relatively new and earth cable off the battery looks fine.

Any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks

Did it only start doing it after you changed the battery?

Did you code the battery when you changed it?

It's a battery management thing, there is usually a box in the wheel well next to the battery, this is the battery management computer.

Although it is not fitted to all models.

I think it has it. Connected up to the negative terminal on the battery?

Yes, you need someone with vcds to code it

Incase anyone has similar problems it wasnt the coding of the battery. Was infact the relay for the ECU. Been good ever since its been changed so hopefully thats that
