My wife has a leased Seat Leon FR black edition. The suspension was very harsh when new, but we were assured by the dealer it would 'bed in' over time. The car is now 6 months old, and has only done 1800 miles, but my wife has complained that it is getting worse. The response from the original dealer was that it's got sports suspension and she would just have to get used to it.

Anyway I took it out for a drive yesterday for the first time in a few months and it was virtually undrivable on anything but perfect roads. The car felt like it was bottoming out on even the smallest of bumps and was clearly dangerous to drive.

I jacked it up this morning to have a look and realised that the transit blocks (3 on each side) hadn't been removed as part of the PDI inspection. I've managed to get these removed, after taking a few photos as evidence, and it now drives much better.

I'll be contacting the leasing company to report this issue. In the mean time I am concerned that driving with the blocks still in place may have caused some damage to the suspension or strut towers over time. Do you think this is a real concern considering the low mileage?

I know its leased but which dealer did it come from? take it back to them and show them/get them to check it over.

Its not uncommon for them to be left in read a few storys of this from VAG dealers.

Isn’t that dangerous?
I’d definitely be complaining up the chain.
