Long time lurker but first time poster biggrin

Aircon stopped working all of a sudden. I am not sure but I am thinking a fuse is missing? Have looked online but can't see a definitive answer. Did have a service in February by an independent but that may be just coincidence

Blowers and heaters still work fine.

Pic of box as it is. I'm thinking there should be a fuse in F35 Air con functional relay). If so, what rating should it be?

Thanks

it may not be a fuse. Have you considered a leak in the air con system? Are there any holes in the condenser?
I had a similar issue with a Golf GTI - turns out is was a leak in the system , and was an easy fix.
Try a local garage to investigate.

Thanks and yes it could be but the fuses were an easy (or so I thought) starting point.

There are only two fuses I can find in the manual that relate to the air con but the dashboard one has other items associated with it that work and this one appears to be missing altogether. Maybe it isn't actually needed but just wanted to check prior to hitting a garage

I suggest you look to audisport.net forums for an answer. It's unlikely to be a fuse.

A hole in the condenser is a common 8V era A3 / S3 issue, which my current A3 had. The symptoms were the same as yours; i.e. blower and heater just fine, but no cold air. If the amber light for AC won't illuminate for more than a moment, it's probably the condenser or a similar issue.
