VAG part numbers index?

I wonder if anyone can help me with this please?

I'm trying to find a list or index of which VAG models relate to which three-digit part number prefix?

I gather that, for example, mk1 Golf is (I think) 191 and Beetle is (I think) 311?

I can't speak for older models but generally the part number and chassis code tie; that is "4L0 955 425" is a rear wiper for a "4L" chassis Q7.

That's not as a rule as there's a lot of crossover, particularly with interchangeable consumables.
