I’m looking to have my 2.0 bitdi remapped (from 240 to around 290).

Are Revo still rated as one of the best for remapping VAG diesels?

I’d personally use someone like Darkside Developments. Revo maps are just generic files loaded on, at least darkside will do a custom map

Is the Black Friday sale tempting you? Not sure you can go that wrong, they have probably mapped hundreds of these engines..

Yes, their 20% sale brings it down to £383 in.

I know Darkside maybe a better option however it’s a four hours drive and I heard they are booked up until Feb.

I had an old 2.0Tdi mapped by superchips many years ago, it went so much better.. Diesels do respond well to maps.

I keep getting temped to do my S1 with Revo, but it is still in warranty..

Revo are fine.

Darkside is a bit overrated. I know of several people who've had their cars tuned by them from normal remaps to big turbo kits. Pricey, often long drives and long waits. Which means any support is far away.

There is nothing wrong with generic remaps so long as they are well tested and developed (as Revo are). It's very different to the +20% maps you get from Ebay for £10.

Don't forget your car from the factory has a generic tune!! There is no reason why on a standard car with standard hardware you need to have a tune specifically for your particular car.
Example, if you take the software on my 320d and put it on another 320d then it will behave the same, as long as there are no mechanical issues on the other car.

I do know a little bit about ECU Tuning , and have some good contacts across the country. Where abouts are you and I'll recommend someone based on your location.
