VW Diesel fuel pump timing guru
Discussion
My (kids) beloved T4 2.5 Tdi ACV engined camper van had a timing belt and fuel pump belt change a year ago and I’ve been soldiering on with a really poor starting issue ever since. Once warmed up it starts and runs without issue.
Hasn’t had much use and lives in the garage 99% of the time but struggling to find someone who can properly set up the fuel pump timing as by all accounts it’s a pain in the a#*e
I’m looking for a VW specialist in the Bedford or MK area who has proper knowledge of these old buses, does anyone know of such a person or business please?!
Have had two specialists look so far but neither actually truly knew what to do although they had the basic idea they were unsuccessful.
I have VCDS and a Rosstech cable so can measure the current settings, which is say at 255 instead of the magical 55.
Have posted on the VW forums but have had one answer from a helpful chap in Poland explaining how to it myself, but I do not have the aptitude or patience for this type of thing.
Any help hugely appreciated

If you are on Facebook search for a guy called Steve Emms, he has a Facebook group and specialises in VW Transporters and will set the timing spot on. He is mobile.
I had a T4 California and he did the belts, timing and fixed a few other jobs for me, I went to him to get it done although he would come to you and my van was spot on when done.
