I've just got myself a TT-S Mk II. The mid section of the exhaust has been deleted by the previous owner and I love the noise.

Someone has told me however I would need to remap to get it to pop and bang, I was thinking there is more than enough power in it for me for now!

Don't do it.

You might think it is cool, but everyone else will think you are a fking idiot.

Yes, the noise is raw fuel burning in the exhaust.

I personally think exhausts with the resonator removed sound awful but it's your car and nobody else has to like it.

I take your point Colin, I can completely understand why someone generates that opinion about a car that sounds like that.

However, I want to give this a go, I might not even like it and want to revert the changes...

I do quite like the subtle change the mid section delete has made, however would just like a bit of burble/ bit extra.

I'm not looking for fire out of the exhaust etc.

In any case I will continue to see what options I have, thanks for your comments.
