Tfsi fuel consumption.
Discussion
Bit of a contradiction here but never mind.
I have a 2006 Passat with the Tfsi engine.
It has a mild remap and an intake fitted. Modified and mpg concerns is the contradiction.
I am not concerned about the fuel consumption as in ££££'s as I am getting expenses at the minute which more than covers any outlay. I just want to make sure it is running correctly.
The exhaust has always been a bit black inside the tailpipe which suggests it is running rich.
I am doing 450 miles a week, most of it cruising on the mway. I stick to 70-75 and the car is doing 34-35mpg.
Does that sound about right.

Mileage is 155k and rising quickly with this new job.
Cam follower has been done, cam belt twice, cam timing chain and follower etc, etc, etc.
Me, obsessed with it, nah
. My wife says I spend too much time and money on it but I don't care, I really like the car and want to keep it as long as possible.
