If you are on the West side and are looking for a specialist, I've used Awesome GTi in the past. Cheaper than a dealer but dearer than a regular independent.

I’ve used Progressive Parts in the past, they’ve got a garage as well as a shop (which isn’t obvious and they’ve always been decent)

Awesome used to be OK, used them for years, but for me they have forgotten their roots lately.

Last few times I used them it ended up a complete farce, costing them money.

Should a customer be on the phone telling them how to fix the car? I think not.

Volksmaster are a good independent. Got branches in Oldham and Bury.

I think my brother and another mate used to use these guys when they had Audi's, based in Sale.

Yep, I used this garage for years when I was in Manchester, really good guys , reasonably priced and only do what's necessary. Even my boss and his colleague started taking their Q7 4.2tdi and A8 TDI to them.

A friend of mine swears by them. He’s tight as cramp so they must be reasonably cheap too.
