Hi guys,


i installed a ramair oversized induction kit on my mk5 gti. I was unable to install the heat shield will anything bad happen? Or will i be fine?

will be a hot air intake then


better off fitting the original airbox back in.

Gonna put on the heat shield in tomorrow.

In 90% of cases you'd be better off fitting the original airbox

I may be being daft here, but don't ALL mk5 Golfs have a "cold intake"? Surely they don't draw air from inside the engine bay?

Anyway in answer to the question, no it wont do any harm but it will probably cost you a few horsepower, especially at low speed.

DUH!

You don't get the same intake noise from an efficient, enclosed OE intake like you would with a RamAir/K&N/GruppeM/Eventuri biggrin
