Introduced around mid 2018 & most non PPF vehicles registered not long after that, standard (non PP) GTI didn't get PPF & was discontinued. Has to be said that the PPF cars sound poor in comparison to the previous equivalent models...
306 to 296 is correct.
Thanks for the info, Mk7 pre face was 296 also is that correct? 306 to 296 is correct.
Just so I got the information correct, all GTi exclude PP models are non PPF.

Have to disagree with that. I have owned both a non GPF/PPF GTI and then swapped it for a GPF/PPF GTI Performance. The GPF/PPF car sounds way better, louder and throatier. The only thing missing is the DSG 'farts' on upshift but I don't miss them. The reason it sounds better is because on the GPF/PPF GTI's, VW modified the resonator from factory.306 to 296 is correct.
The same can be said for the GPF/PPF R's. They have no resonator from factory now and sound way better from the outside. Again, they only lack the DSG 'farts' on up shift.

Has there’s been any known issues with the PPF’s at all on both models? The same can be said for the GPF/PPF R's. They have no resonator from factory now and sound way better from the outside. Again, they only lack the DSG 'farts' on up shift.

Not that I’ve seen from frequent browsing on the forums. I’ve done 30k in a GPF/PPF car and it’s not missed a beat.Worth mentioning about the removal of dual injection on these models, might be something to consider if your going to be doing high mileage or keeping the car for a long time. Carbon build up might be an issue down the line.

Thanks didn’t know this, defiantly see a benefit with dual injection. Worth mentioning about the removal of dual injection on these models, might be something to consider if your going to be doing high mileage or keeping the car for a long time. Carbon build up might be an issue down the line.
