So after selling the Bentayga in 15 minutes I needed to decide what to buy to tackle the gruelling 4 mile round trip plus weekend stuff.
I quickly short listed a few

DS7, Etron, Q8, SQ8 and the 3.0 Treg.

It was close between a Q8 PHEV and the Treg but in the end a mind blowing car wow offer on the Treg sealed it. My crap maths says 20% off.
So I loaded one up with options on the configurator, sent it to the dealer and the added bonus of interest free credit swung it.

It’ll take a while to arrive and I’ve no idea what to drive until it does but I’m very happy that it’s a great car (through my business) at a great price.

I’ll update as I get updates.

If it’s through your business would an electric not have been a lot cheaper?

They don’t do one plus it’s still really cheap for BiK

Could be wrong, but I think you might be on the wrong site for posting nonsense like that.

Isn't the Toerag a significant downgrade on the Bentley?

Only financially, it’s a technical masterpiece and well worth an hour on you tube finding out. The Bentley tech is from 2014 and looks it.
Air suspension and electric drive are very luxurious.

I’ve never heard good advice from a custard manufacturer and this is no different rofl

Did you read all of the OP or do you think DS should just walk everywhere at the weekend too?

I used to do a 4 mile commute. It involved dropping my wife at the train station, my daughter at nursery, then my son at school, before eventually getting to work. Would have been a nightmare on an e-bike.

Congratulations on the new car OP.

I really, really like the Toerag in its current form, great engineering and lovely understated looks.

A 5 month wait is pretty good, VW vans are something silly like 9+ months for a factory order.

Fair enough.

I've got a Touareg too so wasn't a criticism.

I’m actually more “excited” about this than I can remember because I love tech and a smooth luxurious drive.
It was very tempting to get a “in stock” car with minimal options but the fact this is all I want spec wise and includes many Bentley features I value is compelling. The discount more than covered the options.

Pretty much how i read it yes. If you meant something different then maybe you could elaborate a bit. I’m sure DS will love his new Toerag though, they are lovely cars. Massive load capacity too, could be very handy for moving stock around?

Been told the memory pack plus is suspended due to chip shortages so I’ve lost the electric column - not a biggy really plus saves £500

I'm quite drawn to this. I had a 2017 Touareg that was unfortunately stolen at 2 years old. We got a RRS and Golf Gti PP in its place, and with the Golf now up for replacement, this is something that appeals. Common sense says a Mk8 Gti CS or a Cayenne Hybrid, but I have an issue with ubiquity; and properly detest the RRS so avoid driving it.

I know a Golf or Touareg is an odd car conundrum, but they appeal to different needs. The Golf because I sometimes drive like a child, the Touareg because space and carrying kids / bikes. I'm at the stealers on Wed so will see what they can talk me into. Rationally it should be a Cayenne; but the Touareg was always my favourite of the VAG SUVs (because I can't afford a Bentayga or G63 which isn't VAG but if I could I would).

The difference once specced up and after vw discount is £20k ish - no brainer for me.
You’ll get a great deal on existing Touregs because they make the new model year from 1St August, I wanted the new model year plus options but still got a great discount and 0%
