Some years ago the missus had an RS4 and we knew somebody at an Audi dealership and we managed to acquire a pair of front discs at ‘employees discount’, which was £1800 at the time. He’s since left Audi and b7’s are dealer ‘old hat’.

Fast forward to now and I have an RS4 B7 and i’m looking at getting discs n pads, as the fronts look tired and it’s the only thing that looks shabby on an otherwise pristine car.

A couple of questions please….
Can you get the wavy discs for a B7, as the unsprung weight saving would be a benefit. If so, what, where and who from, please?

I’ve seen a-z parts on ebay selling discs for around £600 odd.. are they genuine, or just chocolate pennies?

The last old set we replaced 6 years ago were bought by an Alfa Romeo guy who said that Alfa owners buy them to use the bells for (something..can’t remember), is that still a thing?

Thanks in advance.

Dealer margin on RS specific parts is generally 5% so not much to be had even if you did know someone able to offer a discount.

Brembo appear to list them in this fitment now but haven't tried them personally. Zimmermann have also recently started selling a lot of RS fitment brake discs.

Wavey discs not what they're cracked up to be; even Audi stopped bothering.

When I had mine it always went to the dealer for work and paid about the same iirc.

Build up a relationship with them and they will shave the prices a bit.

You are running an expensive car so expect expensive repairs, regardless of age etc.
