Aftermarket alloys and TPMS

I'm thinking of replacing the standard alloy with 19s on my Golf R.
I've found some alloys I fancy but one of the retailers says I need to pay another £150 for the TPMS system.
I don't want to take the system off the old alloys or is it not on the alloys and connected to the ABS system?

If I don't have the system will it keep lighting up on my dash?

There seems to be conflicting views.

Anyone help?

If you have a system where you can see the pressures on the infotainment then you have tpms but if not it just uses the abs sensors in the hub
