Current Audi lead times...

Looking at a new Q7 and have been quoted a delivery time of January if we put the order in in the next week or two. Does this sound realistic?

Depends... if you have spec'd an exclusive colour then thats probably about right, if its all pretty much standard then that seems longer than normal.

However, the VAG group is expected to start feeling the brunt of the chip shortage in Q3/4 this year - apparently until now they have been one of the lesser affected manufactures due to the way they have managed their supply chain, but now it will start to bite.

OK it was 3 years ago but I had the same issue when I bought mine, but I was offered the option of a few that were already destined for the UK, I had to forego the air suspension but otherwise got the spec/colour I wanted within 6 weeks...

Factory orders seem to be going way out, dealers have cars coming into stock if you are prepared to compromise on spec.

Shortages are hitting options as well, I was told there was an issue with parts for pan roof.

Thanks all. It would be for a Vorsprung which has pretty much every available option available specced, so the lead time might be right. At £80k I’m not prepared to settle when it comes to options unfortunately.

We ordered a q7 vorprung in early June and looking at nov delivery so your lead time sounds about right. You should also be able to get the price down into mid 70s...
