Audi A5 multitronic vs tiptronic

Looking at A5s at the moment...

This one appeared on ebay. I'm not asking on price, or advertising... and I am aware of potential Keighley related issues.

Question... I thought the 3.0tdis were all tiptronic rather than multitronic?
I had an 05 A6 3.0tdi quattro and always thought the 3.0 was tiptronic and the 2.7 multitronic?

The 2.7 tdi was dropped when face lifted and replaced with a detuned 3.0 that was fwd only with the multitronic.

Easiest way to tell with older audis is if it’s fwd it’s multitronic and if it’s quattro it will be tiptronic/dsg

Ah thanks - hence the lower hp (204) for what was already a 240+ in 4wd form. I hadn't realised the multitronic had continued.
