Hi all,

My wife would like a TT and I think we've found a good one. It's a 2017 2.0 auto with lots of extras, 30,000 miles and it looks very tidy from a well thought of independent dealer.

She doesn't want a TTS or RS as the power is fine and she thinks the standard one drives nicer.

We are seeing it tomorrow and I must admit I really don't know much about these, is there anything I should look out for?

Thanks in advance.

Sticks.

I've had a 17 TTS 4 years with no issues. Is it Quattro? Haldex oil change due at 40k iirc, not a big deal. Audi dealerships are a PITA for servicing, at least near me.

I'm not sure what yours has but the Tech Pack with the virtual cockpit/integrated nav screen is very much worth it, and I like the deluxe air con, with the integrated controls like this

As a 2 seater hot hatch it's practical enough, a nice place to be and enjoyable to live with, if not sports car as such. I find the IT much more logical then BMW's iDrive and the interior better overall. Not many niggles but open the boot when it's been raining and water will get in, the reversing lights don't do much, so a camera would be good but that's about it. I guess the window regulators will fail at some point like all VAG, so test them for noise. I'd recommend a boot liner and luggage net and the ride is better since I changed to F1 Asy's - 19s @ £600.

My sister has a 2.0T, think it's 235 and s tronic.

I was surprised at how good it is on fuel to say its a 2l turbo. Managed 46mpg on a run at motorway speeds.

Find the s tronic to be very good most of the time. A bit lazy when wanting to push on and lots of turbo lag but other than that I can't fault the car. Think they look very nice too.

I think most TT's if not all came with virtual cockpit but definitely make sure you get the tech pack so nav and everything is included.

For the money and within that type of car range I cant think of much that offers the same bang for buck

Hi Both,

Thanks for the info, the car was exceptionally well looked after with a full file of receipts from new which shows the previous owner cared.

It had all the options ticked apart from a rear camera and bigger wheels, the previous owner didn't want 2 sets of wheels for winter summer. The virtual cockpit was very nice and all in all it was very comfy and a nice place to be.

Needless to say my wife was very happy!

We will buy a set of bigger summer wheels (19s over the 18s ) and keep the 18s for winter, now to find somewhere that doesn't charge the earth for them!

Gratuitous pic -
