Golf mk6 dsg gearbox

Hello all, can I use any dsg gearbox 7 speed in my mk6 golf tdi 1.6 2011 model as there seems to be different letter/codes?. I’ve replaced one on my Audi TT 2004 with a different code and it’s been working fine for 3 years so assuming it will work on the same principle with the golf?.

Any experts on here in the know?
