I'm looking to purchase a cheapish car and fancy the A5, will be a 2010/11 model. Anything to look out for.

Cheers

Timing belt replacement is every 70,000 miles from memory. Check it has been done.

No idea about the convertible roof bit, but the A5 of that age (B8 model) is robust and reliable. TDi engines are known as pretty good. Check if it has had the software update for the emissions regulations - ideally you want one without the update.

If it is a manual then look out for juddering clutch bite in first gear.
Relatively common and mine started doing from about 20K miles, ruined what was a brilliant car, everything else was great.

Mine does that very occasionally too, although only when in stop/start traffic for long periods of time. Probably happens a couple of times per year and not enough to be annoying. But definitely something to check.

Are the 2.7 Tdi worth ir over the 2.0, also any views on the multitronic with a car done over 100k miles?

Can't comment on the engine question maybe someone knows more. Mutlitronic are generally reliable with a 40,000 mile fluid change interval, just check it has been done as required.
