I'm considering changing from a Range Rover to a '16 Audi Q7. How do you tell which hp version it is? I understand that there is a 272hp and 218hp, but no visible difference?

The dealer is saying it's 272, but always want to double check anything a dealer says..

I think the lower powered one is branded 'ultra' so may well appear in MOT history search etc in the model details to act as a guide. Failing that just ring local Audi dealer with the reg number and they should be able to tell you.

If you put the reg into any basic car checker it will tell you.

Often though the power is included in the V5 name E.g:

“Audi Q7 S-Line 3.0 TDI [272]”

Stick the reg into a website called Total Car Check and it’ll confirm all sorts of information including engine power for free.
