Do these exist?
Mrs Leg was stuck in the hold ups on the M25 today and says she was behind one (well, it said R400 on the back) and was a 15 reg.

No. Just a badge maybe remap, but R400 was much more than that. Never made production.

As above, most likely an "R400" badge advertising a tuning package & remap from one of the many modifiers like ABT, Revo, etc.

VW never did anything more with the concept, but there are "R400 style" body parts readily available from the aftermarket.
