Hello Everyone

Does anyone know if VWFS provide breakdown for the duration of the lease or if it 3 years max? I have a car that's 3.5 years old and can't find an answer on the agreement.

Thanks

VW Assistance is serviced by the AA, and is usually provided complimentary for the first 3 years, with the option to extend it for a fee beyond that.

Might be worth getting in touch with the finance company directly though to see if that differs in your case.

Thanks for confirming. I thought so. Just wanted to confirm before taking out my own breakdown policy

It’s only a year as standard on retail sales. I did think their lease cars were always covered though.

VW Group cars all have a little known “Mobility” guarantee which provides basic roadside assurance cover across Europe but apparently it’s very difficult to get them to turn out - they deny it exists in UK.

Our E-Up was only 2 years. I think the ID products were 3 years. No idea on regular ICE cars.

Mine is an ICE and it did have at least 3 years as I used the breakdown service in my 3rd year.

Well if you had cover in the 3rd year then I’d expect it to be for the life of the lease. Obviously check with VWFS for peace of mind.
