Seat Exeo estate - source for a rear subframe
Discussion
Just put my (t)rusty 2012 TDi Exeo estate through its MOT and for the fist time an advisory has been flagged to say the rear subframe is corroded. I’ve not peered under it yet to survey how bad but, assuming I bite the bulket to replace, is there an obvious source for the assembly, and is changing it a whole world of pain? Suspect it might be but maybe someone here has trod the path…
Thanks… I’ll get under it and see what’s what.
There are a couple of different subframe types listed for the Exeo estate apparently, so not sure a B7 Audi one will necessarily drop right on ‘though they will undoubtedly be similar.
Hopefully superficial at this stage but there does appear to be an issue with the frame welds especially rotting out.
I had thought this one might make 250k miles (166 presently) and I’d like to keep it going but I’m assuming that’s somewhat doubtful now.
