VW Extended Warranty

The 2 year approved used warranty on my GTI Clubsport is about to end. Has anyone purchased or looked into the VW extended warranty to see if it's worthwhile?

A quote for a year gives:

Essentials: £254
Standard: £388.00
Plus: £431.00

Essentials covers engine/gearbox/transmission, so that might be worthwhile, but the other levels seem unduly expensive.

Any thoughts?

Can you get the cover that includes warranty, servicing and breakdown? A colleague purchased it for their cooking Golf and it was only around £25/month for everything which seemed like a no brainer
