Is aftermarket SFD2 access a thing;
Discussion
I'm trying to get OEM LED headlights fitted to a 2026 Crafter, so light units, looms, modules & leveling, I appreciate that this will not be cheap, but OEM is a must & aftermarket components have been ruled out.
I've asked 3 different VW commercial dealers for feasibility / price on the job, but none are in the slightest bit interested. Having a look around a few VW upgrade specialists, they all offer Crafter OEM LED conversions, but can't do this on later models that have SFD2 diagnostic access control.
The picture I'm getting is that VW most likely can do the job, but seem unwilling & the aftermarket specialists are willing but can't carry out the coding.
Does it seem likely that SFD2 access will be eased at any time in the near future or does anyone have any experience or suggestions?
Thanks.
