Anyone driven the Golf GTi and Skoda vRS back to back?
If so I would welcome your comments as the Skoda has a big price advantage over the Golf.
This is pointing me towards the Skoda but resale values etc may favour the Golf
Thanks

This (actually last) week's Autocar has a comparison of 4 2.0T engined cars - TT, Golf, Leon, Octavia. Performance, wet/dry, braking, laps etc.

Golf wins.

I doubt you'll feel short-changed by an Octavia though.

If you want value for money then an E46 330 is not the way to go. If the OP means the mk5 Golf GTi then it's a no brainer really.

Focus ST would be the answer to that question then.

Had mine for 7k miles, not a single problem, makes a beautiful noise and build quality is very good toe to toe with the Germans.

Love the car and great value for money.
