I have been out looking for a bigger car to replace our 2002 A4 Avant 2.0.....looking for something a bit more economical if possible to keep the fuel bills down so I bought a diesel A6 back in Jan but had to reject that because of a gearbox problem.

So in my search for a sensible family estate I went to see another diesel A6 at the weekend and what did I ended up putting down a deposit on.......a 2002 A6 2.7 Twin-turbo quattro with 250bhpwobble

Once I pulled away from the garage forecourt, I convinced myself that fuel economy doesn't matter on a car that we will only do 8,000 miles a year in. I should be able to get 23mpg with a light right foot.

Yes, 23mpg will be attainable, but it will be difficult to not use the power!

The car is eligible for some of the tuning techniques that are used on the S4 2,7 Bi-turbo also, so you could also make it a bit better performance.

Hope you enjoy it!
