Does any know who the Customer Services Director for Audi UK is? Better still, do you have a mailing address for this person.

I wrote a letter of complaint to Audi UK Customer Services nearly a month ago and so far haven't even received an acknowledgement - what a great customer focussed company they are turning out to be!!!

Some years ago, I wrote to these people to complain about the servicing on my car. I didn't get a reply either, but the subsequent standard of care improved dramatically.

I have ( or at least my wife has) an Audi A3 which after just 52k miles and three years, to quote Listers "a lug came off the crown wheel" and ground the gearbox up to the point where it was no longer economical to repair. "That will be £1700 sir and no Audi will not make any goodwill gesture".

So I wrote to Audi asking them if they consider it normal for their gearboxes to fail at 52k miles and what did I pay £15k for if not the quality/reliability of the vehicle and good customer service. I asked them to reconsider their decision as they would ultimately loose out cos I will currently never buy another Audi or VW for that matter.

This has to be compared with the incredible response I had from Mercedes Benz when the Cat failed at 45k and four years - MB UK paid all parts and labour as a goodwill gesture.

So far, Audi have just ignored my letter so I want to try and raise the game by writing again and copying their Customer Services Director this time. But can I find the name......

I could have bought a Rover 25 for £10K (not trying to insult Rover) and maybe I wouldn't be quite so Pi$$ed off but I thought I was buying quality at £15k for a basic three door 1.6 ..... how wrong I was!!!

in the latest evo mag in their long termers they were a bit peeved with the service from Audi on their RS6. - I would be too and with what the posts here say.

Making me think twice about an audi now. MB or Saab are looking better.

My experience mirrors most of those here, crap service with little regard for customer care.

On my third Audi Coupe (I haven't learnt) and still use Audi Dealers to service them. Last time the car came back from a service with chipped paint and a damaged A Pillar cover and I was only charged £800 for the privilage.

And they don't care!

I've found them to exhibit the typical characteristics of the slimy gits often found inhabiting the premises of UK based hyper brands of ze Vaterland; they all too often simply don't seem to give a damn.

Arrogant, over confident whazzacks.

Audi, like BMW, never seem to want you on their data base. Which is why my next saloon will be a Kia Val Verde Imperator VX, with optional auto-bolt dispensing quivers at the trailing edge of each door, for maximum Frenchie mortality infliction when debating the merits of trad anglican cuisine with the ubiquitous bad attitudanal chef in question, in a somewhat excessive attempt to remind him who's boss.

Agincourt, Crescy, anyone?

Well I said I would post an update when something finally happened and a few weeks ago I eventually got a reply from Audi Customer Services to say that in their infinite generousity but in no way admitting any liability they would pay for our next service.....wow I'm so impressed my next car is going to be ...... anything but another bloody Audi!!
