A4 1997 1.8T Petrol - Gerabox oil ?

Can anyone here give me any sensible advice over the type of gear-box oil to use on my Audi 5 speed 1.8turbo gearbox.

The dealers & manual seem to plead ignorance. I could do with changing the Coolant temperature sensor too - any useful sources ?
