how to input radio code on an A6 audi 1997 ?

hi can anyone tell me how this is done ? i have the code 0864 but numbers on the radio only go from 1-6 , appreciate any info on this

I think you press number one zero times, number 2 eight times and so on for all 4 digits. Sold my A6s so can't be 100% on that.

hi , thanks for that , I tried it but it didnt work , one thing i should of said is that the stereo display reads 'SAFE' am assuming this requires the code entery or is it some other fault?
