Audi tt roadster 180bhp (2000) purchase. Help needed

Hi

I'm thinking of purchasing a TT 180 bhp 2000 roadster model. Is there anything in particular i should be looking for IE faults. Its recently been serviced with cam belt done but no water pump change. Research suggests that changing the water pump is imperative when changing the cam belt, is this true? How much would it cost to change the water pump?

Cambelt and water pump change at a VAG dealer will be about £380 ish - assuming you supply a metal impellored water pump so they dont just use another plastic one.
