Those are A4 stats. The OP wants A6 stats. smile

I have an A6 2.4 Auto Quattro.

It's plenty enough go for an A6, not gonna set the world alight. 1st gear performance not brilliant but adequate. 2nd-5th is fine, pulls well at 3000rpm onwards.

0-60 stats are often not representative. Mine is supposed to be 11 secs but once moving it's somewhat faster than what you'd think of as a 11 sec car (it's got about the same performance of an omega 2.5v6 which is a 9sec 0-60 car. I can vouch for this as I've owned one). Cars like A6s are big heavyish cars so 0-60 is never gonna be that brilliant, the 30-70 (which is what's important) is a far better benchmark.

Anyway, I don't know the actual stats but what I'm saying is that performance is perfectly adequate for the car.

I'll say it again, avoid the Multitronic like the plague, unless you like being without a car and giving Audi dealers lost of money to fix it for a few months before it brakes again.

(My personal view not that of the manufacture dealer etc)

Oh!

Well It might be ok I guess, I only get to see them when there broken, there must be hundred out there that arnet. Make sure the oil is changed every 40K miles and dont tow anything heavy. The faults you will get, sorry might notice later are, juddering on pull away, lutching on stoping and generally delay in shift when parking say from D to R. Oh and total loss of drive from time to time.

Unless its not a multitronic and then the boxes are totally bullet proof, like pretty much the majority of Audi stuff.

I do hate to be the bearer of bad news, but its kinda my job, phone "Yes Mrs Smith, that knocking noise from your RS6, it needs a damper and reservoir, that's £2000 and its not in stock so we cant do it before your weekend away, sorry. We can loan you a polo if that helps"
