Ok, had the 225bhp flavour cupra t for about 6 months now and looking to beef her up a bit.

Looked at the revo site and saw a stage 3 that promises a fairly decent gain in power / torque - my question is any other cupra t owners out there that can comment on the effectiveness / general driveability of the car after getting this done? Anyone got any suggestions or any alternatives and comments on their liveability?

Remaps are great on the 20vt engines.., get it done!!

REVO, Jabba, AMD are just a few people who do remaps or quite alot of people are goin down the custom code route now days.. I've had REVO for well over a year now and it totally transformed my car biggrin On the down side things like maf's and coilpacks die a lil sooner but all in all it's well worth it..

Got mine done 1 week after purchase (stage 3 REVO at ADS in Preston.)
Totally transformed the performance just do it, it's hilarious.
Getting through front tyres pretty quick now though!
It would now eat my old Scooby WRX, and stays with M3's up to the tonne.

For a few hundred quid mate the gains are immense, in a 225 LCR you'll be looking at 250-260bhp on stage 1...

surely you mean cupra r? if its a 52 plate cupra r it would be 210bhp, even more reason to revo it!!

I don't deny the new Cupras aregood to drive, I just prefer the look of the MK1 Leon Cupras, & what was the Cupra R.

I dont like the MkII Leon Cupra bodykit, much prefer the Aerokit, personal taste I guess.

Have to agree that seat got the old cupra r absolutely spot on looks wise, the new one drives really well but has been criticised for not looking different enough from the fr or any of the other leons for that matter!
although i hear from a reliable source that there is talk of a new cupra r next year with at least 260 hp and possibly more aggressive styling, although dont think its been signed off yet. hope they do it though. quite fancy a white one!!!

Must admit, that candy white colour looks the nuts!

I thought they had to do away with the "R"? Didn't Honda kick up a fuss?

the official reason from seat uk was that seat in spain didnt want the cupra brand diluted with the lower hp and tdi variants hence the fr sub brand, and originally they said there would be no r but since then audi have taken more control, so maybe 4wd might be on the cards for the r, the guy who told me told me to keep it quiet and wouldnt reveal too much detail, so theres still a chance it might not happen.
