.....of getting an 8-10% discount off a new, in-stock, RS4 Avant?

There seem to be a few "in the system" at the moment now that the order books are shut.

Anybody seen, or recieved, any discounts at this kind of level on this car.

If you don't want to discuss here, feel free to email me.

Cheers

Jack

PS Has to be an Avant.........

I got 8% off a saloon in March

reckon it was very good timing (end of month and financial year), I think I negotiated well and direct with sales manager, I had a near identical car at another Audi dealer to play off against

now that supply has stopped I reckon you'd do well to get 3% as the cars will go easily enough

I would say make them an offer. I have noticed RS4 avants in two dealerships, one second hand one unregistered, hanging around for a few months now. Offer 47k and see what you get! The margin the dealers work on is around 8% so they be willing to let it go.

too many good motors around at the moment.
lots of dealers doing big discounts.
market seems to be flooded.
try a broker for best deal.

Sorry, I don't understand. As far as I can make out, there are only half a dozen options available.
None I need, but if there are some must-haves then it would be nice to know what. This car is for driving and will be a long term car (3+ years)

Jack - make sure you get:

1. satnav (only £500 now so surprised if any are specced without)
2. CD changer - you can't play them in the unit when satnav DVD is in it and ipod connectivity is crap
3. std spec, proper RS4 wheel not ugly multi-function one or ugly dash cradle (ie make sure GSM bluetooth is NOT specced)
4. std spec proper RS4 bucket seats (IMO)

rest is up to you but not needed, mine has optics pack (which was a must have for me), armrest which I like and is free. Also TV, sunroof, rear airbags - all good but I did not spec the car

Just paid a dealer £50.5K for a March 07 Avant with free GAP, tax and tank of fuel.Optics pack and sat nav etc.Its got just over 3K on the clock.
I thought that that was a pretty hard bargain to get - If you can get new for £ 1,500.00 more then I think that you have done very well!

Tech pack would not have been an option on yours either, the dealer has added satnav + ipod + (maybe) adaptive lights separately

you car would spec out as £53.5k so a good £1.5k or 3% saving

Normally tech pack wouldn't have been an option but this one was built in Feb 07 I think then sat in the Audi showroom in March unregistered, then I did the deal & put a deposit on it at end April and only picked it up 18th June!!!! Car was kept in compound and only registered when i was ready with the rest of the funds to pick it up.....Was Tech Pack an option back in Feb?

So think I deserved a discount seeing as it was built 4 months ago!! Got the GAP and tax as well though and me tank of petrol....
