Need help on installing front centre arm rest in my Audi S3

I have the diagram on how to put it in, but it seems that the panel before the rear ash tray has no hole in it for it to clip in, also the diagram shows that one part has to come through the bottom ?

My car DID NOT come with the arm rest as standard, do I need to change my whole console where my handbrake is etc to put this in ?

You need to cut out the hole and then it bolts on underneath by removing the rear ashtray. no need for a different centre console.
