A3 Speed warning.

Got a stange thing after changing the battery, I now get a warning if I go over 65, which is all the time, and it getting iritating.

anyone know how to turn it off.

I had this when I bought my A3, it's in the manual somewhere! I just turned them both off!! I DO NOT need the dash bleeping away at me when I'm doin x leptons!!

From memory, if you press in one of the buttons in the dash, either the one to alter the clock, or the one to reset the mileage, it resets the speed warning thing.

If it's the temporary speed warning the above will neutralise it.

However so would turning off the car and starting it again, so I suspect you need to disarm the permanent speed warning.

To set the warning on or off:

Switch off ignition

Briefly press the left hand adjuster button (time setting button) in the instrument cluster - the dash digital displays should illuminate.

Press the same adjuster button and hold for at least 2 seconds.

The display will show the speed at which the warnign is currently set.

Use the trip computer buttons on the end of the wiper stalk to reduce this until the display shows the crossed out symbol for off, or the desired speed warning to activate the alarm.

This should allow you to sort it out.
