I had a drive in a GTI at the weekend and think I have found my next car.

I've seen them on Motorpoints web page for £17999 which looks good however the specs are not quite what I would go for given the choice.

Anyone know of anywhere else that can do them for this kind of money?

Remember the GTI's from the car supermarkets are imports, that's why the spec is not always so good, as they are intended for differents markets.

Try Motorprovider, also if you push a dealer you might get one for 20,500 with the 18inch wheels and metallic paint

look at what you are buying carefully, some car supermarkets imported some from far east , that were 2 years old, sold as new, but no warranty and in a bit of a state, just check it over carefully

There was a thread on this a few weeks back - can't find it though.
Motorprovider are now on a 16-week wait like VW main dealers

I'm getting a 5-dr this weekend from www.simpledeal.co.uk £18365 with metallic. 3-week wait.
This is a dutch import to UK spec. 2-yrs warranty - no options possible otherwise it's back of the queue - 16 weeks! You can add a few things as dealer fit - parking sensors, ipod prep, armrest etc.

Not sure about motorpoint - they have higher spec ones with leather and DSG which are apparently meant for the middle-east so dodgy spec. I believe the lower spec ones are for the Cyprus market - so unsure of the spec on these so I have avoided.

I used euro imports for our GTI, saved around 4k - highly recommend them.
