VW Gamma Radio/CD Changer

Quick Q:

Just locked my car and noticed that on the in dash 6 CD changer, all the LEDs above the numbers 1 to 6 remain lit after locking it, as shown below. I don't know whether this is right or not as I just realised I've not locked the car in the dark with CDs in the changer before (only had it 3 weeks). It doesn't seem right to me as it kinda advertises the fact that there are cds in there! Could someone who has the same radio/cd setup let me know whether this is right or not!

They should only light for a few seconds, then go out.

They were still on this morning, drove to work but selected the radio before I turned off the engine and all the lights went out! Been meaning to get it checked out as my preset buttons don't work either, when I press any of them nothing happens! Looks like a trip to VW then.
