I have seen a few RS4s for sale at dealers and wonder what would be a sensible price to pay for an 07 reg Avant with 3k miles.

Is the bright blue easy to sell or does it harm residuals?

Really depends on spec etc. Bright Blue, which i'm guessing is Sprint Blue (best colour by a huge margin) should not harm residuals & if anything may enhance very slightly as the colour is seen a more akin with the RS4 (if that makes sense). Not clued up on Avant prices, as i run a Saloon, but it may be worth trawling dealers, as a few still have brand new unregistered Avants & are giving discounts.

May not be quite so many around today, but when Audi announced the end of RS4 production, many savvy dealers stocked up.

At a guess, i'd say an 07 Avant with 3K miles & decent spec should be in the area of £47-48K.

Thank you for your help. It is Sprint Blue, which I like but thought it may be considered too bright by some people. I am glad to hear it is popular with buyers.

Audi Hatfield have just reduced the price on an RS4 Saloon because it is Sprint Blue - Ask for a saleman by the name of Donald - he will give you a frank opinion about the colour.

Well I guess I am quite well qualified to answer here ...

I just traded my Sprint Blue 06 Saloon and had no issues whatsoever getting a decent trade price with no mention of the colour ...

I traded it for an 07 Black Avant with 5k miles, it was up for £48,995, I got a few quid knocked off, a few freebies thrown in and a decent p/x price so I would say £47k / £48k is about right ...

My only reservation, and it's a very personal thing, I find the Sprint Blue does not suit the Avant as much as the Saloon but at the end of the day, they are wonderful cars so get the one that YOU want!!!

I'd say £48K is about right for an ex demo 3K mile Avant with the tech pack; maybe a little more if there are other options fitted such as sunroof, Tracker, privacy glass, etc.

Sprint blue divides opinion.

I just paid 49,000 for mine. Brand new, unregistered, 57 plate.

I suspect you can get them for even less, though.

Is it an Avant or Saloon?
What colour?
Where did you get it?
WELL DONE!

It is a daytona grey saloon.

I agreed the deal, but have since asked for, and paid for, the trim to be switched to carbon, the CD player to be replaced by the iPod slot, and a tracker horizon to be fitted.

I decided that I would be unhappy driving around in a car that was not quite what I had imagined.

Still uncertan about going for the bucket seets, mind.

Choices are very, very limited now for an unregistered one, so I had to go this route.

I have never bought a brand new car before, so am excited, and slightly anxious.

With used, if you do not like it, it is not such a cost to switch.

I just bought a new one in Mugello at the weekend.

I was intending to buy one in Sprint Blue, but found there was a downside to such a vibrant colour.. wink

I would not touch Sprint Blue, its a foul colour. Mugello, Daytona and Misano are ace.

How can you honestly say Sprint Blue is a foul colour??

Colours are purely a matter of opinion/taste & of course it's natural to favour certain colours over others & i like Mugello, Daytona & Misano, but prefer Sprint as it just looks more akin to an RS4 colour. I can't think of any Audi colour that foul, although i'd not touch any Yellow or Green & not that keen on Reds, but none of them are foul, just not to my taste.

Welcome to the fold all the new RS4 owners. Looks like Audi UK played a sensible game, ordering a big batch of B7 RS4's as Audi were announcing the end of production, as looking around, alot of brand new cars are finding new homes over the next few weeks.

I picked up a Black 07 RS4 Avant with 5.5k miles tech pack + other options, Tracker etc for £48k This sounds a lot, in light of some of the other prices posted for new cars, but the trade-in price on the old car "more" than made up for it....
I don't want to teach you to suck eggs, but obviously there is more to a "deal" than just the sale price of the car!!

you do know the ipod slot is utter crap don't you? I kept the CD changer and use the SD slots to play mp3 which gives you 4 to 8gb of capacity and works much better.

buckets are fantastic and I wouldn't touch an RS4 w/o them, all personal but I would not touch sprint either, its a nice shade but I think the RS4 looks naff with all that chrome on them (fine on an 80s Jag but not this) and optics may look odd on sprint

daytona is lovely but phantom still looked best - black with optics looks great IMO

What do you mean about the iPod slot?

Please tell. The parts will not have arrved yet, so I could stick with the CD changer if I wanted.

I heard the iPod slot is crap & have the 6 cd changer (always do) with iPod connector (fitted free, of course hehe) which I haven't had time to try.
But I don't reckon that's going to be much good as you have to flick through each track, if my understanding is correct.
I believe there is another connector available but can't find the details at this moment....booked marked somewhere........hmmm not helpful, I admit frown

Definitely, stick to cd player/changer and linked to Bose.... biggrin
