new engine time!

i have got a audi 80 1.8 on bike carbs, but want something diffrentengine wise.
have been chatting to some people about this most say 1.8T would be easy and best, some said a v6 lump, the engine is mounted in line, cant think wat is is called at mo, but it is not the same as most cars...

so what do you think the best engine would be??

does anyone know any good garages to get the work done???
