Guys, I need some help!!! (no really, its just about an RS4, thanks).

I had found a black RS4 avant in my local dealer (or as I now know them, stealer) and had negotiated a deal, came to pay for the car and then the scumbags have decided it is sold to someone else. All this happening in less than 2 hours!!

As you can imagine my wife is not impressed (it was for her) so I need any help that you have with locating another. I was looking for a black car ideally but all colours considered.

Any help most gratefully received, otherwise it is a morning making phone calls to every Audi garage for me!

Many thanks

Go to Audi's website and look at there new and used car locator and hey presto. No need to phone every dealer, failing that autotrader plenty of black RS4's.

Thanks for the message, but with a car like this I was really looking for a new car from an audi dealer, I cant seem to be able to find any way of looking for a garages brand new stock on the website.

Dont really want buy out of network, despite thier downsides I have had horrendous expeiences with so called specialists resulting in me sueing Tom Hartley...and winning, not good (just like the aston martin it was concerning!!)

thanks for any info received...

They have, but many dealers bought them when they learnt about this and I am trying to track one down with a car in the showroom unsold...

Nick,

I have a couple of contacts in Audi dealerships. I've spoken to one and he has a brand new RS4 in stock at the moment.............but it's yellow. I think it came off the transporter either today or yesterday..

They have a couple of dem cars as well that are for sale, and another acquaintance is a sales guy for an Audi dealer whom I could contact if you want?

mmm... yellow, as you might expect its not my first choice. Was really looking for black, mugello or misano in that order...

Anyone that you can contact would be appreciated.

BTW- I forgot to mention, I am looking for an avant, not a saloon!

I just bought a Mugello (new one) from Audi Northampton. They had another new RS4 Avant in Avus Silver, as does Peterborough Audi. Audi UK seem to have bought stock ahead of the order books closing, so you should find a nice one out there.

I am picking up a new one this morning, so there are some out there.

You just need to call around a few garages. Most will have access to the list of group stock. There are a few out there still.

If the car is for your wife, make sure you point out it has alloy wheels, I hate seeing RS4 with duffed in wheels.

One other thing, don't buy a car with the phone in the centre console.. you will loose the RS steering wheel.

There is a chap up your way who can retro fit the Audi Bluetooth phone option, works brill and fully integrated as OEM.

Sure she does not want a soft top ??

Go and buy some oil NOW, they like it.

To check, engine needs to be warm, stopped for two minutes.

Hope they also gave you the latest sat nav DVD with TMC active smile

Nothing wrong at all, apart from having paid £80k+ only 9 months ago... ;( (and negotiating what I thought was a decent enough discount at the time!)

They are awesome cars. I tested one as part of the EVO article earlier this year and we lapped Bedford as quickly as an E60 M5. Mental doesn't really describe it, and they sound so good as well. Unfortunately the market favours SUVs that sound like taxis. Mine has covered 16k miles now and I wouldn't want to let it go.
