Audi S8 (4.2 V8) MPG / Range on a full tank

Are there any S8 (4.2 V8) drivers on here? If so, what MPG are you getting (Or, how many miles to a full tank)? and with what sort of driving (motorway/town, spirited/conservative)?

I Have similar A6 4.2,
Getting 23.1mpg at the moment,
So on fill up range reads 420 odd miles,
normally ends up being more like 300 to 375.
But my EML light is on re fueling issues so if Audi ever fix the cause will be interesting to see the difference.

Well over about 120,000 miles in TWO last generation S8's (360bhp) - I'd say I averaged around 18-19 mpg. Which was a mixture of some motorway and some back road work. On long run I might get 21mpg - but I don't normally "hang about".

2 D2 S8's - average 18.5 mpg - 22 mpg on long motorway runs.

average full tank 350 miles - most i ever got was 380, that was mostly motorway miles. Worst i ever got was 240 miles, but that was driving across germany but i had my foot nailed to the floor and got her down to about 6mpg at about 170

never done better than 22mpg even if you do 55 on the motorway and turn the air con off.

The auto is better than the manual:

S4 cab auto: about 22mpgish

S4 avnt manual: about 19mpgish

In town, both about 15-17mpg, I'm afraid

Incorrect assumption - I am trying to ascertain how many times I would need to fill up per week... using some 'real world' feedback.

Expect around town 16mpg,motorway 24mpg at its best.Enjoy it,awesome piece of kit.
