MkV GTi wind noise

Hi all,

picked up my MkV GTi on Saturday, fantastic, I absolutley love it, but at about 80mph there's a wind noise coming into the cabin from the region of the driver's side door mirror.

It does not occur on the passenger side. The car is a three door and is two years old.

It was originally doing this at 50mph but the dealership said they'd sort it before collection.

So they've had a good look, improved it to 80mph by fitting a new mirror housing and can't find anything obvious wrong.

So I know it's a stretch, but has anybody got any ideas?

I think wind noise is a known issue on the MK5 although I haven't noticed any on my 07 plate one. Well, not above the tyre roar anyway

Thanks, will do!

I have the 18's on mine (only option I insisted on having) so I have certainly noticed the noise of the tyres... Makes up for it though because the wheels look fantastic!

And to be honest, having come from a Pug 306 diesel, I'm like a kid in a candy store!
