Top tips for new owners
1. Remove the centre armrest as they all rattle. Do this by removing rear ashtray and hex bolts.
2. Get a mechanic to tweek the front anti roll bar as they can cause a horrid crunch sound on full lock turns.
3. Make sure the Haldex service has been done!
4. Make sure cambelt is done if 4 years since last one, despite the mileage!

thanks for the tips. cambelt is getting done at VW in a few weeks as its half the price but the same parts.
haldex oil and filter will also be done as i dont that to bugger up as its costly to fix/replace

Yep agree with the weight. Was racing a focus ST which also has 225 and it was slighty pulling away from me.
I used to have a 2002 Audi A3 130 TDI, and god the armrest squeak! It is awful, but i like an armrest so i was in a lose lose situation, whip it out and i dont have an armrest and leave it in and have a squeak!
Solution = I had the BOSE upgrade on the speakers haha
Still, I took deliver of an 2007 Audi A3 170 TDI S-Line (will put up some pics soon) in april and the armrest is now squeak free... touch wood...
