Recently bought an a6 tdi 2.5 estate 01 plate, lovely car great engine, thing is there's no lumbar support and the base of my spine feels like i'm being tortured, you would have thought a company like audi would have the art of making comfotable seats to a tea. Has anybody else had this painful problem?

dont want to sound patronising, but maybe the base is set too low for your driving position/size. ive got a 98 a4 tdi, and the seat has no less support than the several primary cars ive owned at the same time, i.e. newish bmw's and audi's. again, there is no extra lumbar support, but when i had the base at a lower height (trying to optimise centre of gravity), it did niggle my back; raising it seemed to sort it out.
