Golf V5 Service Warning keeps coming up !

Hi,

My Golf V5 is getting very annoying. The service warning light comes on way before a service is due. This time its only done 2000 miles in 6 months and the service warning has come up in the computer window grrrr. I know it had a dodgy MAF a while back which I had changed (about 1000 miles ago), could the dodgy running caused by the out of range MAF cause the computer to keep asking for a service ?

Is it possible to reset the service warning without going to a dealer ?

cheers ! Did a quick search on that site and it seems there is a procedure for resetting the computer . I will give it a go tomorrow.
